Gingerbeards Trial

The event is run on a Saturday at the same location as the Greybeards Trial which follows on the Sunday.

History of the Gingerbeards Trial

When the Greybeards Trial was run at Stedham, the Bognor Club ran an event on the Saturday for over 40 year olds nearby. This made a double event at the weekend and made a long journey to compete more attractive. When the Greybeards was moved from Stedham, the Sunbeam Club organised a Saturday Trial, i.e., the Gingerbeards to give the competitors who wished it 2 events in the 1 weekend.

General Information

Free camping facilities are offered at the lovely area that is currently used, Jacksons Wood at Horsmonden in Kent. The Gingerbeards Trial is again a 2 route Trial, hard and easier, but is open to all competitors over the age of 18 years. Even the hard route is not intended to be ultra-hard as we accept that some entrants will be of a senior riding age. There is no age variance added or deducted from marks lost on observation.
